How Jake rides a bike

I was out with the kids tonight and Hallie and Sam were riding their bikes around while Jake was running around. Then after a bit Hallie said, “Daddy, look at Jake!” and I turn around and this is what I see!

FHE at the park

So we headed to the “new” park again today in search of fallen acorns and fall colored leaves. We all had a great time wondering the paths through the trees. Scroll down to see videos. Something worth mentioning – as we were leaving the park in our van we noticed an older couple walking down the sidewalk and thought it looked like President Uchtdorf and his wife. So we did a U-turn and looked again and saw that it was them! So we then did another U-turn and Alecia told me to pull over so we did and got to say hi to President Uchtdorf and his wife. He gave all the kids high fives. They were both very nice then went on their way (I did not take any pictures although I wanted to). 🙂

Boulder Dam Bridge Tour

While on our trip down to Nevada, we got up early on Saturday morning, waited in a bunch of lines, road a couple of buses, and got to see and walk on the new Boulder Dam bridge.

Playing basketball at The New Park

So there is a park we found nestled in the neighborhood near where we live along Bountiful Ridge that the kids call “the new park”. It has swings, tennis courts, a basketball court, volleyball courts and a lot of trails. Here are some pics of the boys playing ball there.

New little brother

Hallie has another little brother and Sam is now a big brother. They are both very excited about their new little brother. Jake seems to recognize their voices even though he still is not very responsive yet. It will be exciting to see how they all bond and get to know each other.

Coming home

Jake came home from the hospital on April 6th, about 3 days after he was born. His car seat about drowns him right now. He slept the whole way home.

Jake has arrived!

On April 3rd, 2009 at 11:05pm, Jake Steadman Malmrose was born. He was born at 37 weeks and 2 days, weighed 7 pounds + 1 ounce, and was 20 inches long. After spending about two days in the NICU, he was able to come home with mommy and daddy Monday afternoon.
